Just noticed this site, sorry i have no photos but i have good memories of the best days of my working life, i now live in rural worcestershire and if there was a pit opening up around here i would be there like a shot.

i remember jimmy lees and many more, i was at Bevercotes pit after doing initial training at Mansfield Crown Farm then Lound Hall, after 9 years i transfered to Calverton pit where  i hated every minute, the way of life was totally different to north notts pits and i couldnt wait to take redundancy.
